Sept 12

We left Caen, France at 10:30am for Poland. I'm writing this from 10,000 ft - we just flew over Dusseldorf and we are now about about 2 hrs. to Poland.

On Thursday night, Peter spoke to a group of 60 Rotarians in Caen. Several physicians also presented on vaccine safety. During the day on Thursday, I tripped on a step leading to a cannon emplacement on Omaha Beach! I banged my knee so I was ordered to stay off my feet with my knee elevated and iced, so I missed this presentation. I’m about 90% better and probably by tomorrow will be back to my normal ability of walking without being in pain.

In Poland, we met up with our group of 70 Rotarians last night and had an incredible dinner. They arranged a tour of the old city for the group today, then we give a presentation tonight at dinner. Tomorrow, we’re off to the United Kingdom!
