In addition to the Guinness World Record attempt during the upcoming Flight To End Polio, Peter and Ed will also be attempting to set a national (and possibly international) speed record! If successful, this record will be verified and registered by the National Aeronautic Association.
The record attempt will take place when the pilots fly from the Azores Islands (a region of Portugal) to St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada, starting on Sunday, September 28. This trip is approximately 1,326 nautical miles. During this leg and during the entire flight, you can follow along with the plane on Flight Aware in real time at https://www.flightaware.com/live/flight/N2160S or check our blog and Facebook page for updates.
